100% agree. Honestly I can't wait for MTRN4328 the advanced autonomous systems too bad its in 4th yearYeah most programs are just science and maths, but once you get to the higher level and more specialised stuff it gets 10 times better.
This might help you OP regarding opportunities to maximise your skill-set.

dw I'm guessing you have to do 1112 at some stage. Although I've underestimated it and its a lot more difficult than I thought. Btw, don't think that only the 4th year courses are good. There are much more awesome courses than you think so long as you know you are in the right field.100% agree. my bad it is MTRN4010. Yes in 2nd year. Yes i do agree phys is to demaning and unrewarding. I believe you are in the same lectures as me (joe wolfe - not so good btw) and right now the most interesting thing we've done is calculate some acceleration of something, and the labs are just as worst - i mean where is repeating a hsc experiment (the pendlum and equlibrium one) and rolling a cart down a ramp going to get you? i know this is 1st year and they are trying to teach you in "general" terms but they should make it interesting and fun. I was considering majoring in physics or maths because all that astrophysics and theoretical stuff and applied maths seamed cool but not really worth it now (others may disagree). even next semester i was considering doing PHYS1231 as an elective but now ill just stick to the easy stuff like CHEM1011dw I'm guessing you have to do 1112 at some stage. Physics is too demanding over nothing particularly interesting. The more specialised stuff are demanding and ten times more interesting.
Its not necessarily the lecturer or the labs. Its just that the workload is very fast and if you miss things you won't realise because they are not interesting enough to bring up yourself. That was my view of the first few weeks. But since we started momentum and stuff now, its gotten better.my bad it is MTRN4010. Yes in 2nd year. Yes i do agree phys is to demaning and unrewarding. (does this sound good for semester 2 - MATH1241 (Higher Maths 1B), MMAN1300 (Engineering Mechanics 1), MATH1081 (Discrete Maths) and something else other than PHYS1231)
also, do you guys think it would be a good idea to stick with mechatronic engineering if one doesn't really like programming?
I thought of a compromise with my parents. For law some courses do get harder and some are more black letter law. Less historical crap and more straight forward
Combining accounting with a marketing/HR/management major can be a good combination, because it gives you a few more options in terms of jobs post uni. What is a good major with accounting? Does anyone think Accounting/Marketing is good?
Or accounting/HR
or management
or economics
dont say finance!haha
thanks which do you think is the best?? I am not such a confident person , so I'm not sure about marketing but it looks really interesting. Also MGMT1001 is a joke!but apparently gets better...Combining accounting with a marketing/HR/management major can be a good combination, because it gives you a few more options in terms of jobs post uni.
u would change your mind towards marketing after u have done MARK1012thanks which do you think is the best?? I am not such a confident person , so I'm not sure about marketing but it looks really interesting. Also MGMT1001 is a joke!but apparently gets better...
