For some reason I'm not getting the answer.

For the curve y=2cos (pi x) for between -1 <= x <= 1 find the x intercepts. Then find the exact area bounded by the curve and the x-axis between the 2 intercepts.

Answer is 4/pi units squared

Assuming the limits are -1/2 and 1/2 (setting y=0)

Integrate from there I got integral 2cos(pix) between limits -1/2 and 1/2 which simplifies down to 4$cos(pix) between limits zero and 1/2 ($ means integral, I am on my phone so it is hard to do) then from there you get 4/pi
