Need to explain in perms/combs answer? (1 Viewer)

Do you have to explain exactly what you are doing, since I have trouble doing this I find it easer to just do the working without saying next to it like select 3 blue, then select 1 green, stuff like that. How do they mark it in hsc? Thanks

I'm not sure how they mark it, but showing your thinking should definitely net some marks.

I don't think you need to, but it could help to show what your thinking is if you don't get the correct answer because it will make it clearer for the marker and you might get some marks for working. I always used to write it out anyway so I could make sure I wasn't missing anything out/counting something twice.
