Even with access to the test, they dont have access to other key design information which you need when making a psychometric test. Like I said before, that doesnt make Medentry useless, but I still think the ACER tests should be considered the most reliable.I think it's been confirmed that Medentry pay people to go into the actual UMAT and memorize questions lol. So it's safe to assume that at least some questions are a reflection of the actual test.
I've sat the UMAT a few times in the past and I've done Medentry and ACER papers (in addition to various other psychometric tests including those from Wonderlic, SHL and One Test). I've also been on the other end as I work in HR and we frequently administer such tests on job applicants and employees. I'm not an expert on the design of these types of exams, but I do know that they cannot be drawn up by anyone, nor can they be "copied" solely from seeing exam style questions.I agree with your first statement, but not your second. I mean this in the most inoffensive way, but have you sat the UMAT? I mean I haven't (yet) but from how everyone describes the UMAT, the difficulty and style of the ACER exams are a far cry from the actual test they give you. I've done the ACER exams and I know there's no way in hell I'm gonna pull 109/134 in the actual test lol.
Basically: I don't know the extent to which the medentry exams mirror the UMAT. They very well could be quite unalike. But I know they do a better job than the ACER ones.

Just from observation, Medentry is harder than the UMAT and ACER seems more basic. However, there are subtle differences between the UMAT and Medentry especially in regards to section II. I get the feeling that ACER section II questions are designed to test certain parts of your ability to comprehend social information and this is something which Medentry wouldnt know.
As I said before, that doesnt make Medentry worthless, but dont think that harder equals better. The ACER tests, although easier, are created by professionals who have access to all the necessary information and standards.
lol, not sure if srs. you sound 12.To OP, if you're worried about getting in, then most likely you won't and also since you said you got a few mistakes in the acer tests your chances have significantly decreased. But nevertheless, put 150% of your energy into umat. (I'm sorry if that was harsh)
If he is getting only 10 wrong on practice papers then I'd say that he has a really good chance. To OP, if you're worried about getting in, then most likely you won't and also since you said you got a few mistakes in the acer tests your chances have significantly decreased. I have to disagree with you on that, as long as OP is within a high enough percentile, than it is possible. To OP, if you're worried about getting in, then most likely you won't and also since you said you got a few mistakes in the acer tests your chances have significantly decreased. i'm not 12lol, not sure if srs. you sound 12.
No that's fine, but telling someone who's getting 124/134 on the UMAT they're most likely not going to get in is just cringe-worthy and ignorant.Futuremedstudent has high expectations academically.... That's why she has such a mindset
nah, i know people with 99.90+ atar and 99 percentile umat who didn't get into med.. so i wasn't trying to make OP be too complacentNo that's fine, but telling someone who's getting 124/134 on the UMAT they're most likely not going to get in is just cringe-worthy and ignorant.
