Was pretty good, algorithm questions were easy but that one about the interactive book was a bit out there in my opinion. Hoping for a decent mark

Pretty straightforward paper.
MC was reasonable.
Section II had very few system documentation questions.
Section III was very short, but asked about shift-registers for the first time I can remember.
The interactive book question made no sense to me at all.

So much better than last years exam. And holly crap the option topic(Q36) was soo small, i was wtf is that all?.
Loved it, only had to draw 1 data flow(beast!), no other stupid charts thing. Expect that registration.
Probs the hardest part was the electronic book thing algorithm

A pleasingly well written paper for the most part.
Was I the only one that over complicated the user login one? :(
I devised it that any number of users could try logging in in any given order.
(Had the functions getUserAttempts() and incrementUserAttempts() and ended up 50~60 lines long)
Agreed, the book paths q' was weirdly written.

I have no clue what everyone keeps going on about with the user login question? does anyone remember what we had to do for that, like what the Q was?

It was the question where u had to make an algorithm to lock a user account if he/she had entered the password wrong 5 times

That's nearly correct however you did not take into consideration that they had more then one digit numbers and they used commas iirc, btw check out the multiple choice thread

No clue about band cutoffs, but did anyone do the contrast Integer and Floating point 32-bit binary digit in option 2, wtf was that, and the control characters.

For the login question I just counted failed attempts, not worrying about who's failed attempt it is. Do you think it is possible for me to get full marks for that question?

Does anyone know what the book chapter question was asking from us?
