That will get you one mark out of two.

Oh never mind, I skimmed and thought your justification was for why 0 was to be included, not why 0 is NOT to be included.

You may or may not get a mark. Leaning towards not.
How so? The question explicitly asks this: "probability that it rains on fewer than 3 days".

Zero days means that no rain occurs, hence should not be included in your expression. It's flawed, flawed hard... *inserts formal complaint*

I have updated the locus problem to include up to three alternative methods.

Assuming everything else is fine, you will lose only 1 mark.

How does dis happen.
Say I tell you "You scored zero marks for that question"

How can I use the word 'score' if you got zero???

How many marks would you lose if you changed the limits wrong and subbed them in wrong?

If all your other working out is correct, and it doesn't oversimplify the problem, then only 1 mark.

That should scale to ~90 IF you look at the raw marks database, please note scaling can differ year to year :)

How does one get a 95? I thought the course was out of 50?

If you do only Extension 1, then it's out of 50.

If you do both Extension 1 and Extension 2, then it's out of 100.

Or some students are just so good that they get 95/50.

lol so is it a full-proof solution? are there any weaknesses in it? asking since they differentiate state-rankers by the quality of their working, and I think I have a chance :)
So they do look at how complete and how efficient your answer methods are to determine state rankings? lol

@carrotsticks! what will a 54-56/70 get me? Would you say this exam year's exam was harder or easier than last year, your opinion?

Would someone be able to upload the questions? We weren't allowed to take ours from the room!
Thanks.
