I've just started yr 12 (2015) at the moment and in the process of buying textbooks from the (2014) students. I slacked off pretty bad in yr 11 because...well yeah...I'm one of those idiots and I do 3 unit maths (double stupidity), nevertheless I didn't completely fail the subject (to the surprise of my teacher) did pretty well for 2u and passed 3u (also I don't go tutor). But the pressure has (FINALLY) got on to me and I realise...how fucked I am...now here's the important part I need help on.
2unit is kinda a joke to me while 3unit I find it hard to keep up, mainly because my prelims foundation is not strong so I realised I need a prelim book to revise on, one with good theories to help me build a foundation, I don't want a 'challenging' textbook that goes straight into kilin me when I don't even know the reason for my death (laziness I tell you) with that I ask you guys WHICH TEXTBOOK SHOULD I GET? FIRST I've been lurking around and everyone seems to hate maths in focus (cause it's too easy) but maybe that's what I need to begin with second question is after I build my understanding and foundation what textbook should I use next?
TO SAVE YOU ALL FROM READING MY BORING LIFE STORY HERE'S STRAIGHT TO THE POINT
1. What textbook should I get to revise on PRELIM 3u maths topics (as I slacked on in yr 11) I need a textbook to help me build a foundation, to help me understand the basics?
2. AFTER I understand the basics which textbook is more suitable to help me achieve high marks?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR GUIDANCE
