Re: 2K15 prelim

I'm going into the Preliminary HSC Course this year as well. I'm very ambitious when it comes to my goals - I'll do anything throughout the next two years to get a ATAR of 95+. It's going to be the main focus for my whole life. I enjoy mathematics and sciences, and dread English, though I hope to improve in that. Luckily I got all the subjects that I chose last year, which are:

  • Mathematics Extension 1
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Engineering Studies
  • Business Studies
  • Advanced English

I know this is far forward thinking, but in year 12, I think it might be a good idea to drop my least favourite two subjects, and pick up the second mathematics extension course. My new subjects would most likely then be:

  • Mathematics Extension 2
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Advanced English

That way, I can focus all my attention on four subjects with a total of 10 units. Do you guys think this would be a good idea?
