5 out of 13 weeks. However, you do learn other stuff concurrently, so it's not just the project for 5 weeks or how ever long. There will still be individual lab work to do.

Btw, I've decided on 'Graphic Design for the Web - SDES6742' (http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/courses/2015/SDES6742.html), however it says I need to have completed 48UOC at COFA and have 'Knowledge and skills in graphics media design and processes or equivalent'.

Is there any way to get around this? I have a lot experience in Photoshop, and I'm willing to catch up in the month we have left.

Well before all that, note that SDES6742 is only offered in Semester 2. (Click where it says: "Further Information: See Class Timetable").

But for future reference, maybe call COFA (UNSW Art & Design) and discuss it with them.
