Frantically trying to complete all my biology pracs from last year and study notes for this topic before Monday bc teacher wants to check them and i haven't done a thing D':

This year I'm definitely just going to put my best foot forward and try. Last year was the worst and I don't want this year to be a repeat of last year.

Hey guys, I need some advice on how the HSC works in relation to picking up a new subject. So what has happened is I left my school in Sydney last year and came to Singapore to study the HSC in an international school at the beginning of the final term of year 11 (which is term 3 of 2014), I have had to make many changes to my subjects and was wondering whether I could pick up Food Technology so that I will have 12 units (cause currently I have 10). They didn't offer Food Technology when I first came to the school but this year they do for the Preliminary students so it's kind of a shame considering I was estimated by my teacher back in Sydney to get a band 6 in it and to have to drop it was really hard. I heard that you need to have done the preliminary course to pick up any subject but I have done 3/4 of the Food Technology Preliminary course and I would be able to easily catch up on any content/ assignments missed through doing extra lessons with teachers external from the school and doing phone call lessons, video calls, etc. Hope you can help- in desperate need for advice..

How's everyone adjusting to their after school routines? Feeling pretty unproductive so far personally...

Basically me, even though I'm doing some work but it's not enough in my opinion. What have you been doing that makes you so unproductive? How are you going to change?

I feel as if I've completed the bulk of my revision and I'm torn between getting into past papers despite having not learned the upcoming content we're gonna learn in the next few weeks before half yearlies. Not really getting homework so not sure where to go, get ahead with notes? Do some papers? Last couple nights I've been goofing off between work a fair bit too.

I think I'm going to just get ahead and keep myself busy doing notes and doing a couple questions every night or something. I guess the pressure hasn't really hit me yet. And i just sit here wondering what everyone else doing haha. I definitely need to get my discovery shit sorted asap and also practice the content I missed at the end of last year when I was away before the exams. Just haven't got the urgency yet like I had last term.

What about you?

I don't know man. I've just been completing the homework assigned to the class by the teacher for maths and that's about it. I got this really good study schedule in my mind but I just haven't started doing it yet, I don't even know when I am, most likely soon, just when I find that inner motivation.

3rd or something? I thought I'd get full marks and I have no idea why I lost half a mark :|
3rd in a selective school (I assume), isn't bad at all, it's great

Think of it in this retrospective ...You lost half a mark , but you did get >95% of the total marks

Maybe ask the teacher why you lost the half mark :)
