Would you want to risk taking meaning away from your creative with unnecessary bits?
There have been incidents where they refused to mark some- one was about assassination

my tutor wrote her belonging creative on stuff such as depression, alcohol consumption - anything that was socially taboo. still managed to get 15/15 in her HSC where her creative was deemed a 'superscript' (above the exemplars) by the marking centre :haha:

then again, she's a natural at writing and SR'ed english adv lol
belonging is always depressing with the possibly that it might get positive at the end

One of the main points stressed by most teachers is that your short story should be based on a genuine moment or situation because you're likely to be much more descriptive, and it could possibly resonate with a wider audience

I will give you one simple piece of advice-to get the best marks for your creative, you MUST make your creative tailored to your audience-in this case, NOT your peers, but YOUR TEACHER. What this means is that fantasy materials such as zombies and all such like will be difficult for teachers to relate to-particularly considering they are generally more mature. Hence, write a story about ordinary lives-poignantly, and exploring the thematic concern of discovery extensively, and you will get a good mark. You won't be flagged, but it will be impossible to get a very high mark with this sort of subject matter. Keep it real. :)

I dont have enough passion to write a creative writing about me going to the park or catching a train...
