If I get into my university course after my HSC

Can I accept the offer, then defer for not one but two years?

What about three years (although I'd be a mature age student then)

I'd rather take a break from education and work a bit, then go back to uni while still living in my parents house

Also, there are a few business projects I'd like to work on in my spare time that may potentially end up being my career and this may be the only opportunity in my life where I can pursue them :)

Thoughts ?

why not combine both uni and business projects? idk. if ur really passionate about the projects and you have a gud team with you and the resources, i reckon u should defer uni and give it a go. But then again there may be other opportunities at uni... who knows?

I think most unis only allow you to defer up to a maximum of one year.

By "business projects"...can't you just study at uni part-time? Best of both worlds

Doesn't the ATAR expire after like the first gap year if you still don't go to uni?

Pretty sure you can only defer for 1 year. But you can always just reapply for the course/uni if you want. If you've got the ATAR its fine. Also you can always just go to uni as a mature age student at 21 if your planning on going for that long
