Hey guys, I was just wondering is it possible to transfer from UWS to UTS if you have failed a unit but have gotten a credit average for every other unit so 7/8 units. I am currently in my first year for engineering.

Thank you.

And also would that fail continue onto my transcript at UTS? and if so is there any point in the transfer? I just want to transfer because it takes me over an hour and a half for UWS but only 20 mins to UTS.

Just finished my last exam, I'm pretty sure I have failed one out of 8 units for this year which sucks but hopefully not. My results come out November 26th so I'll see what happens.

Hey guys, so I got my full years results and here is what they are:

Semester 1:
Mathematics for Engineers 1: Credit - 67
Engineering Computing: Pass - 50
Engineering Physics: Distinction - 78
Introduction to Engineering Practice: High Distinction - 85

Semester 2:
Mathematics for Engineers 2: Fail - 27
Electrical Fundamentals: Fail - 43
Fundamentals of Mechanics: Pass - 60
Engineering Materials: Pass - 53

My final GPA is 3.75/7. Does anyone know if I still have a chance of transferring to either UTS/USYD/UNSW civil engineering, or do I have to bump up my GPA? If so, what is the minimum GPA required to transfer?

Thank you.

Enquire with USYD, if your ATAR was high enough, they may consider that solely for admission. I have been accepted for USYD Engineering due to my ATAR. I believe previously, they used a combination of ATAR and GPA (I was told that was how I would be assessed for 2015 entry when I enquired in 2014). Might be different for you as I'm transferring from within the university.

My ATAR definitely was not high enough :/
But does anyone know if it is possible to transfer to either UTS/USYD/UNSW with those marks?

Hey guys, thought I would update this thread by saying that I got into Civil Engineering at UTS!
Thank you all for your advice/help!
Apparently a fail GPA is good enough to get in, who knew?
