Hey guys,

Could any of you show me how to do this question?

An unbiased die is rolled n times. What is the probability that the product of the scores is an even number?

$\noindent First we'll find the probability the product is \emph{not} even (i.e. odd). The product will be odd if and only if every roll was an odd number (because the product of a bunch of odd numbers is odd, whereas the product of integers containing at least one even number is even). Since the probability of getting an odd number on any given roll is $0.5$, the probability of having an odd product is $(0.5)^n$. So the answer to the original question is one minus this, i.e. $1-(0.5)^n$.$
