Let's kick this off early since WAM glitch is working for some subjects
Any predictions?
Any predictions?
how much harder are the higher math courses than their lower counterparts (math2011, math2501) ? Most likely going to be majoring in stats so was wondering if the higher counterparts are more useful or anything? My predictions (not including scaling)
COMP4128 - 87 (That's my actual mark unless scaling happens)
COMP3821 - 97-98, or 100 if bonus marks from the assignment count for final
MATH2111 - 89ish
MATH2601 - 75-80
I would say higher is made significantly harder. Depends on what you mean by useful, I don't really think either course relates to statistics like, at all (apart from the really basic matrix stuff at the beginning of linear algebra)how much harder are the higher math courses than their lower counterparts (math2011, math2501) ? is there any benefit to doing higher courses? or is it just for love of math + possibly better scalingI would say higher is made significantly harder. Scaling isn't really a positive or negative thing (someone who does well in higher will get ~100 in regular, someone who is struggling with regularis only gonna do worse in higher). You should do it if you think you'll enjoy it (or if you want to major in Pure Mathematics, because it's compulsory. Not sure about Applied).is there any benefit to doing higher courses? or is it just for love of math + possibly better scaling
Yes, you're spot on there. My WAM in the stream dec has changed 3 times since last thursday... does that mean that 3 of my courses have been entered? (1st yr here btw)
Wait are you sure FINS1613 is out.. because I legit thought I failed because I guessed like half the paper... but my WAM isn't that tragic?? I'm so confused.. but I hope soFINS1613 is out (no scaling), ACCT2522 is out and MGMT1002 is out
