What happens if you get a 0 in paper 1 for Year 12 Hscs (1 Viewer)

I missed the paper 1 exam cuz i got mixed up with the timetable. Would I still be able to get my hsc? Paper 1 has 40 marks btw. I mixed up my hsc end year oops im in year 12. Btw I hope none of you get into this situation please don't be like me. Just a heads up I don't care about my scores its just about receiving my hsc. Thank you for answering and replying my question.

You won't fail HSC unless you already have an N-Award but misreading the timeable is not an acceptable excuse for missing an exam, so you'll likely get 0 with no appeal.

Yeah i tried contacting my dep teacher but she wasnt here im gonna check up with her tmr. Yep im aware of getting a 0 with 0 appeal i got told by the replacement teacher. Ty

• at least two must be English units;
• at least six units must be Board-developed courses;
• at least three courses are of two unit or greater value.
• at least four subjects have been completed.
• no more than seven units of science are studied. This was changed from six units in 2019 with the addition of the Science Extension subject.

It makes no reference to failing or not doing one of your trials.

Usually they won't let you sit an "alternative paper" unless you properly file for illness/misadventure - misreading the timetable is not an acceptable excuse. Most likely you'll get an N award warning for not attempting paper 1, and if this is your 1st N warning, you should be in the clear. If you're a repeat N award warning offender, you may receive the N award and may be ineligible to receive your HSC (as you haven't satisfactorily completed the 2 unit english requirement).

Going forward, please make sure you go to paper 2 and complete it to the best of your ability (to avoid a second strike) and make sure you read your HSC timetable correctly so you don't run into this mistake again.

Well since you're in year 11 your trials are basically a practice - It doesn't mean anything. However, in year 12 it does so be careful.

Actually, I know thats why I said "however". There are many year 11 people on here (including you) so I thought mentioning "year 11" will ease a little stress and prevent people from making the same mistake once the hit year 12.
