You could definitely get 80 if you did well in externals. The trouble is that lower ranked schools tend to set easy exams, unless you did the independent or the CSSA papers in which case your trial marks might be reasonable indicators of how you will go in the HSC.

My school definitely used independent and bought trial papers for our exams, but I could say that our assessments were considerably hard.

Those second places are juicy but.... the school's rank though.

80s but that's with a clutch in externals since estimating with like schools that are not in the top 100, there is not much certainty
