nooooo don't memorise an imaginative how the heck are you going to adapt it to a random stimulus-
our trial stimulus was a literal wall and the question was "write a piece about who deserves to have their mural painted on this wall for their contribution to society" or something like that. now are you really going to twist a sappy immigrant story imaginative about your grandma's chicken kebabs in there ahaha
make a list of the language techniques used in the texts you studied and what impact they had- the whole point of the module is to see how well you can apply the techniques you've studied. do practice responses!

just practice!! we aren't all creative masterminds- half my stories end up being massive cliches BUT I just jack them up with language techniques and get marks that way. you can memorise a reflection though, that's half your marks (be warned though I don't think they'll always ask for a reflection)

I would say to just read a couple of short stories so that you have many ideas which you can write about

it depends on the stimulus and also what you're better at
our teacher said its more effective if you write discursive cause its basically just a conversation with a sprinkle of anaphora, personal anecdote, rhetorical question etc etc

In many cases, students’ writing will be a hybrid of these types of texts. Sample materials in both English Standard, Example C and English Advanced, Example B (a) demonstrate how students will have a choice about the type of text they write.
NESA website more or less confirms that students will be given a choice.
