omg the rivet one. It just said label the diagram I had no idea what they wanted me to actually do I didnt even think of microstructures

damn, i just did the compressed air without subtraction of the outside pressure bc it was asking the force that *the compressed air* had on the ram, regardless of the atmospheric pressure :<

what microstrucutres do i need to know. My teacher skimmed over this, I've got no idea where to start. Im in yr 12 btw, stressing about HSC already.

Definitely steel and cast iron. Pretty sure aluminium as well because you'll be looking at precipitation hardening.
