What exactly is permittivity of free space and permeability in electromagnetism ? I have been hearing these words for almost a term but still confused. o_O

Hey, I found this information. I hope it can give you an idea of what those concepts are 😄

“The permittivity of free space, ε0, is a physical constant used often in electromagnetism. It represents the capability of a vacuum to permit electric fields. It is also connected to the energy stored within an electric field and capacitance.”

“In electromagnetism, permeability is the measure of magnetization that a material obtains in response to an applied magnetic field. Permeability is typically represented by the Greek letter μ.”

They aren't explicity in the syllabus, just know that they are constants used for different equations (i.e. force between two wires).
