Don't burn out. You'll have plenty of time to 'grind' in Year 12. Not to discourage you doing anything in the T3 holidays, just don't overdo it. It'll be your last real break for a while, so make the most of it.

I think a good starting point for HSC English would be to go through the syllabus document for the level(s) of HSC English that you're taking, and familiarising yourself with the main themes/ideas/issues raised within each module. Once you've done this, it would also be a good idea to familiarise yourself with your prescribed texts (if you know what they are) as this can make analysing them quite a less demanding experience as you would've gained an idea of what each of your prescribed texts covers (in terms of themes/ideas/issues raised by the respective module) in advance. Another thing you can do is go through a list of techniques that you have covered all the way until your current point. This would be a good way of revising those techniques (which you will likely need to utilise frequently going forward, whether in analysis or essay writing), including what the technique is, how it can be used in a sentence/text as well as the effect it generally has when used in a particular quote/text.

Wow thats really helpful! Thank you. Will definitely endeavour to begin reading the prescribed texts and researching if time allows. Techniques also sound good, sometimes I forget a bunch of important literary techniques.

I think that would be a good start as it will allow you to familiarise yourself with HSC Modern History content to a decent extent. I would also suggest making use of the syllabus document for Modern History concurrently with your notes as you might be able to determine any particular areas/concepts/components that you might need to emphasise/focus on in terms of your preparations in advance. This will ultimately allow you to have a good idea of what you can expect throughout the year and identify the best way to approach the content, which is definitely something you would want to have because not only does it constitute a good headstart, but it can also lead to favourable performance.

Just set a study routine and follow it. Like others have said, you don't have to grind. You'll be just as effective without the whole grind thing. Download some other people's notes, print them out and just take some time to go through them. Make notes where you need to on their notes instead. Do a bit of this for all your subjects. Aim to get through topic 1 and some before term 4 starts (year 12) starts.

honestly this is the last true break you get before year 12 so i’d say make the most of it. don’t grind, study for an hour or so a day - you don’t wanna burn yourself out before year 12 even starts.
