Lots of them got music scholarship when they entered top elite schools in yr7. Taking music as the HSC subject is the requirement to keep their scholarship.
But yr12 only need 10u, Chinese 5 plus music will take to 13u as below.

nah its usually varied what my asian friends do for their other subjects, e.g one might be good at English and hence he/she will choose EE2
If one is good at math, he might go do MX2, etc.

i'm judging my findings from ruse hscninja

from what i’ve seen on hscninja for ruse the common combos are:
MX1, MX2, Adv Eng, Physics, Chem
MX1, MX1, EX1, Adv Eng, Physics, Chem
MX1, MX2, Adv Eng, Physics, Chem, Eco
bruh they all contain mx1 mx2 chem and physics

But my tendency to overthink and complicate things make me think I shouldn’t take mx2 oml THE amount of times i over complicate things and confuse myself like hell sometimes unnecessarily
but maths is def my fav subject so if I could take mx2 I definitely would

yea originally i wanted to be a lawyer (parents were relieved lmao) but now im leaning towards eco and finance etc. optometry could also be an option. my goal atm is a double degree of law/eco
