I heard that for some exams they don’t allow gel pens since it doesn’t get scanned. Wondering if it goes same for hsc.

No, the ink reflects the light from the printers so it doesnt get scanned properly

A 100% man, personally, to make sure my writing absorbs all the light from the scanners, I bring in a dip pen to write in all my exams

I'm sure it's allowed but you'd really be sabotaging yourself with the garbage that are gel pens.
