Haplotype: a group of alleles inherited together from a single parent. These are tightly linked in a cluster on some chromosomes, meaning they are likely to be inherited together.
Haplogroup: a group of similar haplotypes which share a common ancestral single nucleotide polymorphism.

do we needa know those 2 terms? i have it under gene linkage and SNPs/STRs just not haplotype and haplogroups

for something like this just asking if we are meant to keep it generalised and keep saying alcohol and carboxylic acid or can we pick a specific ester @SadCeliac

probably general but it wouldn't hurt to have a for example

just make sure you draw the diagram correct and do the whole reflux with a heating mantle and condenser lmao
