whats the range for a state rank? is it like top 20 people who got highest raw hsc mark

top 20 if subject has 10000+ students, top 10 if 1000-10000, top 5 if <1000. it's highest hsc mark overall and not raw mark i believe. the cutoff for an SR varies widely across the subjects + year/cohort that did the subject

the call is only for first in state right?

them marking very leniently won't make a difference in getting a state rank or not cause its the same for everyone

i just mean that in the sense that I'd need to get 100% which requires them giving me full marks for q22 (which is sorta on edge, iirc my answer matches the criteria but i might be remembering wrong), accepting my slightly weird method for q30 (imo its still valid but its quite convoluted) and me not messing up any other qs and forgetting about it/all of my other answers being sufficient quality. like im almost certain someone wouldve gotten 99/100 raw on that paper so I'd need all those stars to align when they mark me

I don’t know for certain but apparently last year they happened the friday before results, which was also 6 days before results came out. both of those things occur again tomorrow

what do you need for a business sr

most years 98+ HSC mark is state rank, and some people who get 97 may get also.
not all 97s get state rank as there have to be exactly 20, and most years more than 20 people get 97+, but less than 20 people get 98+
