If you’re dedicated enough then you’ll be fine, the main most critical thing is no matter what (like no exceptions no nothing) always make sure you’re 100% confident with the content of the previous lesson before getting into the next lesson. I know it doesn’t sound that important but one day off school sick or just a bit zoned out in class can turn into 2 and then 3 and 4 and then it rapidly becomes daunting and then you’re basically screwed at that point. As long as you put in that consistent effort it’s actually not that difficult of a subject imo, you just have to be really careful about staying on top of it
This is true but I will say don’t be afraid of missing a day of school just cause you’re worried about missing ext 1 class. I think the main point is don’t get into a bad habit of not doing the work and the falling into a slippery slope of being behind.

youll probs be challenged a lot at the start, but honestly in a way you get used to it and then you start to feel more confident and capable. Honestly the actual content isn’t very challenging with the right approach

if math is a weak area for you, I recommend learning content / reading through content to gain a basic understanding BEFORE each lesson. That way when you learn the content in class, you should be able to pick up on it straight away or at least somewhat quicker. Make sure to complete all homework, and if your teacher doesn’t set enough, make a plan to do extra each night yourself. In the weeks before exams, make sure you have full understanding of the fundamentals and then spam past papers. They are the best thing for building confidence and improving marks
