I think this is the hardest paper in recent years. I’m still unsure about the first question, which includes the text ‘lv’ next to the vibraphone and asks for an explanation of its meaning.
It means let vibrate. To do it u have to use a sustain pedal. I wrote sustain pedal so idk if i'll get the mark

melodic was amaxing
last question only required 1 extra piece
was bloody awesome

i absolutely agree i almost laughed when i saw q4
1 whole piece provided AND 25 minutes for essay??? couldn't have asked for more
dictation was eh for me but whatever
me crying over q4 10 min before the read through and my sigh of relief too

btw what do you guys think the raw mark should be for the state rank, maybe like 98+?

it was far and away the easiest exam from the last 5 years, the let vibrate question was not as difficult as it could have been as you could deduce it from listening and you didn't need to state the exact name of technique

incidentally anyone here doing music ext? it's been a while but how do you feel about your elective? i did performance and it was a bit of a train wreck imo but whatever
Yeah I was really happy with my music ext performances. I got an encore nomination so I would assume that means I did pretty well
