Our school had a new stupid fat idiot become our head early this year and he moved our formal and graduation dinner early to February and September respectively. So all done. No Year 12 end of year celebrations.

Are there any reasons in particular Usyd is better
great social life (don’t listen to ppl who say otherwise, unsw is all weird engo nerds), mostly good teaching, great atmosphere, great international reputation, cool looking quad, no trimesters, much more flexible single degrees, more major options (eg comp sci as a science major), much more able to take double majors (quicker than double degrees) and I could go on

the only thing I’d really prefer unsw for is plain engineering and I feel like even that depends on the type of engineering, for some types usyd isn’t actually too bad if not better

thats crazy. what r u celebrating that early 😭 😭
Because our new head is a shitcunt. It's even worse for 2025 cohort, they're having their formal in Term 4 of Year 11 (now) so they won't have a 'Year 12' formal and they're basically getting rid of graduation dinner as well (changing it to a 'midwinter dinner' in June). All of this in private school.

I’m sold @carrotsss , usyd it is! Only if we can be friends.

I heard at o-week that you get inducted into houses exactly like Harry Potter, is that true?

and that matters why lol, at the end of the day it depends on what you wanna do
Your CV/resume. Who knows where you’ll end up in 15 years time depending on factors within and not within your control. You might be living in LA or Auckland or Tokyo and a potential employer there might (highly likely) recognise and respect a UNSW/USyd qualification but is likely to have no idea on what a UTS is.

generally employers don't care what uni you went to, just your qualifications and abilities. particularly when we're talking about 3 good unis
