great social life (don’t listen to ppl who say otherwise, unsw is all weird engo nerds), mostly good teaching, great atmosphere, great international reputation, cool looking quad, no trimesters, much more flexible single degrees, more major options (eg comp sci as a science major), much more able to take double majors (quicker than double degrees) and I could go onAre there any reasons in particular Usyd is better
thats crazy. what r u celebrating that earlyFebruary 2024. We already had it.
Because our new head is a shitcunt. It's even worse for 2025 cohort, they're having their formal in Term 4 of Year 11 (now) so they won't have a 'Year 12' formal and they're basically getting rid of graduation dinner as well (changing it to a 'midwinter dinner' in June). All of this in private school.thats crazy. what r u celebrating that early
I'm doing plain engineering and I can live with weird nerds, actually I think I already dogreat social life (don’t listen to ppl who say otherwise, unsw is all weird engo nerds), mostly good teaching, great atmosphere, great international reputation, cool looking quad, no trimesters, much more flexible single degrees, more major options (eg comp sci as a science major), much more able to take double majors (quicker than double degrees) and I could go on
the only thing I’d really prefer unsw for is plain engineering and I feel like even that depends on the type of engineering, for some types usyd isn’t actually too bad if not better
I’m sold @carrotsss , usyd it is! Only if we can be friends.great social life (don’t listen to ppl who say otherwise, unsw is all weird engo nerds), mostly good teaching, great atmosphere, great international reputation, cool looking quad, no trimesters, much more flexible single degrees, more major options (eg comp sci as a science major), much more able to take double majors (quicker than double degrees) and I could go on

Definitely not UTS if you want prestige. USYD and UNSW are equal in terms of prestigeat this point I have no idea if I want to go to unsw, usyd or uts
lmao same, feel like i wanna go uts but my parents want unsw or usydat this point I have no idea if I want to go to unsw, usyd or uts
USyd/NSW more prestigious. Nobody knows about UTS outside of Sydney. USyd and UNSW are internationally renowned.lmao same, feel like i wanna go uts but my parents want unsw or usyd
and that matters why lol, at the end of the day it depends on what you wanna doUSyd/NSW more prestigious
I get that, but most important thing is that you're happy, plus they're all good unislmao same, feel like i wanna go uts but my parents want unsw or usyd
Your CV/resume. Who knows where you’ll end up in 15 years time depending on factors within and not within your control. You might be living in LA or Auckland or Tokyo and a potential employer there might (highly likely) recognise and respect a UNSW/USyd qualification but is likely to have no idea on what a UTS is.and that matters why lol, at the end of the day it depends on what you wanna do
generally employers don't care what uni you went to, just your qualifications and abilities. particularly when we're talking about 3 good unisYour CV/resume. They definitely do, especially for jobs in areas such as law or anything business related. Go8 is a much better option if this is what you’re after, prestige matters.generally employers don't care what uni you went to, just your qualifications and abilities. particularly when we're talking about 3 good unis
If an employer actually cares that much about what uni you went to 15 years ago, then they’re probably pretty terrible at picking the right candidate. That is like ancient history by then. Once you’re in the workplace for several years, only one thing really matters when you apply for jobs - experience.Your CV/resume. Uni prestige might matter in a small handful of places, but even then only for maybe the first couple of years.
colour me impressed
what about all those jarring private school kids that I hear usyd has alot of. like the type to not even talk to you unless you went private school, ur rich or they knew you beforehand.great social life (don’t listen to ppl who say otherwise, unsw is all weird engo nerds), mostly good teaching, great atmosphere, great international reputation, cool looking quad, no trimesters, much more flexible single degrees, more major options (eg comp sci as a science major), much more able to take double majors (quicker than double degrees) and I could go on
