Who says law is better at usyd? Heard this a fair bit but QS rankings disagrees
Commerce tends to be better than economics for IB. Actuary has nothing to do with investment banking - Commerce/Law is the most common IB double, but I've heard of some Comm/CS or Comm/Eng people getting in.

qs is cap quality in the cohorts should be fairly noticeable
makes sense - I’ve put eco there with law at the moment and got the offer - but then might ask if I can transfer into BComm if I do decide to do it
IB is not anything to do with mathematics.
theres easier ways to show that u can do math. ib math isnt complicated its basically arithmetic.
From my experience both UNSW and USYD law are both filled with the same breed of selective school npcs. The cohorts are identical. Times Higher Education also ranks UNSW higher for Law and those are the only two rankings that people cite for aussie unis because US News doesnt really have a grasp on what we do here or connections with employers here.

Either way, it appears like most people agree on the standard UMelb > UNSW > USYD > ANU for Law. grammar produces 50 of those a yr iirc. as for the standard, again rankings are bs and usyd im fairly sure holds the top spot in the sydney law market. 20/56 high court justices from usyd as opposed to 14 melb, 1 anu, 0 unsw. almost no one will say unsw > usydPrivate school kids are not smart enough to get the 99.5 for first year law
UNSW is a newer law school, hence why less high court justices are from there. They are additionally ranked higher for employment outcomes and are more likely to make it in big law. Sydney Grammar is selective private, and they act much more like selective kids than private kids. Literally every objective metric puts UNSW higher. There is zero justification for saying that USYD is better, other than the lack of trimesters which automatically makes it way better. Typical USYD student, more interested in a pretty campus than what the numbers say

About this - I would combine it with eco and gives me some math to do which I enjoy -> so let’s say I don’t do law/com USYD would actuary/comm not be next best rather soemthing like com/engineering?
the eco prehons stream would defs give u a fair bit of maths to enjoy. normal econ/comm (finance) would probably be the same amount of maths —-this is regarding usyd eco/comm. (dont think unsw has a prehons stream). ye i would say actuary/comm probably > comm/engi unless u like some type of engi
Not like you'd be able to understand, can't do any maths at your humanities uni
employer reputation is a factor on both of the rankings I sent and UNSW is higher on it, by the smallest margin, something around 2%.
