    Haha there are a set amount of credit points that you have to complete for a degree, in my case it's 144 credit points. Subjects vary in how many credit points they're worth but for me all mine will be worth 6 (values change at different universities, but the idea is the same). So the regular load for a full-time student is 4 subjects a semester, which is 24 credit points. 24 times 6 semesters will give the 144 total credit points and 24 subjects.

    So for my degree program there are certain core subjects (11 to be exact) which I must complete and add up to that total of 144 credit points, and then the rest of the credit points I can spread out however I want as long as I satisfy some other small requirements such as not having more than 10 subjects at first year level (can't do all easy subjects of course). Other requirements depend on the Major and whether I'm going to double major or not (not sure yet, will decide eventually.. haha).

    Haha yea... big ouch. Positive side of that is that I'd get Friday's off, which would be awesome.

    Nah, I'm pretty sure you can't if you do that Advanced... maybe if I requested it. I did consider doing a double degree of just the normal B Mathematics and B Science (Physics) and I almost convinced myself to do it for a while there but then I got turned off by the idea and how it would take 5.5 years haha. I may still do some Physics subjects though.

    No idea, some might be? But yea, that includes all tutorials. It's just the way the subjects lectures are placed - Wednesday for example is 2 hours and they're both lectures (granted for different subjects).

    If my timetable ends up like this I will be a little disappointed though... hahah. 4 hour gap between things on Tuesday, 5 hour gap on Thursday, 2 hour on Monday and Wednesday.

    Nah, we sort that out when we enroll I'm pretty sure and we have to actually go into the Uni for that. I have looked up the draft timetable options on the website though and sorted out what possibly could be my timetable.

    Looks like I'll have to go 4 days a week - 4 hours on Monday, 5 on Tuesday, 2 on Wednesday and 4 on Thursday. Some have breaks.

    Hahaha well there have been days when I was like "I am so bored, there is nothing to do" but I've kept pretty active, I go out a few times a week and have the odd day just at home. Only bad thing is that going out often requires spending money but it's generally sport based which is all good haha.

    Well worth it though!

    As in what do I do during the holidays? A lot of hanging out with mates... and golf. Can't get enough of the game! Haha. I've been trying to do some maths here and there but it's hard when I don't quite have the motivation of Uni yet.

    Yea, should be fun! I'm quite looking forward to it :) I start sometime early-mid February I'm pretty sure - it's definitely earlier than normal for this degree.

    It's the closest Uni to me, 15 minute drive :) Never intended on going to any other Uni haha.

    Yea 2nd year. It's because it's the 'Advanced' degree, so instead of doing these 2 core Calculus subjects in the regular degree it's condensed into 1 subject in the Advanced and I also don't have to do a couple of lower level first year subjects. First semester I'll be doing Multivariate and Vector Calculus, Linear Algebra, a subject called Advanced Mathematics which is that condensed subject (basically Calculus, series and Taylor series, introductory real analysis, etc) and probably a subject called Understanding Variation and Uncertainty - a Stat subject which seems like crap :\ Haha.

    University of Wollongong of course! Haha. 3 years, starting off with 2nd year subjects in the first semester - just a bunch of maths!

    Yeah imo most holiday courses are like that. You won't really learn too much useful.

    Yeah there is. Umm bwood Westfields. It's not an actual store though.

    Umm i'm going to English, MX1 and Phys. Which english one are you going to? (there are two i think)
