    UNSW BSoc O-Camp

It's true they should but you will have a hard time convincing first years. Maybe when they do micro they will understand or maybe they won't. It's their loss to be irrational. Um that is what Shadowdude has been talking about the whole time... Once you make a deposit, it's a sunk cost. If you...

    UNSW BSoc O-Camp

I don't think that would change much. You could have 100 people standing in a line of 50 people standing in a line. In terms of logistics it's better to have 50 people in a line. Most of the "other people" are also at oweek but probs getting other freebies nearby while they wait for camp tickets

I hate to say it but not many people apply the sunk cost principle in real life.

Free buses from central station (at the eddy ave bus stop) to UNSW?

If you dip a mymulti many times, a beeping noise will go off. So that one won't count.

Did you ask to be put on reserve list (if they taking one this year)?? People sometimes drop out last minute just saying EDIT I think what happened is that people bought for their friends as well. I think you can buy max 2 tickets per person. So 60 people probs bought it by 9:30. Makes sense...

Which Law lecturer is best from the following list? Not many vacancies..I am late

I havent had Gilbert but people from year above said he is really good. He challenges you to push yourself. However, that said, a lot of first years find that very difficult and struggle to get through the semester. I probably wouldn't recommend him if you want to slowly transition into law...

Make sure you sign up to Arc first so you get the sticker and then a $20 discount on BSOC Camp. Joining Arc is like free.

    Camps?

Yes you can because the society assumes that you are a student within the faculty, however, I know that a few societies are now checking whether you are actually from that faculty or not before letting you go.

Getting vacation work when not penultimate

I think just apply. It doesn't hurt you to apply. Worst thing can happen they just ignore your application.

4 finance courses one sem. Is this too much?

I probably wouldn't recommend it unless you really love finance. Finance is pretty dry and if you don't like it, doing 4 courses of it might make ur semester difficult.

Future prospects for Australian Law students and graduates?

Also possibly because of "I don't want to waste my ATAR"

    Post Your 2014 Sem1 Timetable

Census date is actually like the end of first week of semester :( This is in terms of changing your timetable. After this date you have until Week 3/4 to drop courses without having to pay for them. After this date you get another 2/3 weeks to drop the course without any academic penalty but...

Also don't feel compel to drink at Camp if you don't want to. No one is going to judge you for not drinking.

No late round offer despite 99.95 ATAR (EAS) because I applied "too late"?

From my friend's experience, EAS does not get considered in 2nd Round for Law. My friend who applied for law in 2nd round with EAS (ATAR was 99.00) didn't get in but my friend who got ATAR 99.75 did. This was in 2011 btw

    Peer Mentoring UNSW

Most peer mentoring should be the same for societies. It is organised to help 1st years transition into uni and have someone to speak to.
