yes sight-singing is 5 marks, and compulsory. basically after (or before) your performance exam, the examiners will give ou about 2 lines of music, a tonic chord and the starting note. then you get 2 minutes to vocalise whatever you want, practise a bit. then they'll give you the chord and note...

comp means comping btw, which is a jazz technique when you fill in an accompaniment based on the chords they've given you.

i thought the paper was quite okay! when i heard the first playing of the melody dictation i couldnt'hear the euphonium part and panicked, but then i think igot it out in the end :) essay was simple, perhaps a bit too simple.. i didnt like the agnus dei comparisons though.

our grade at school is apparently one of the best to come through in the last 10 years or so, so thats encouraging :)

lol i was meant to do about 1.5hrs a day, but did i? honestly, no. i honestly only did about an hour a week, before my lessons, maybe a term before the exam. then i started doing maybe 3hours a week, and in the final 3 weeks before exam, it was 2hours a day, and in the last week, 3-4hrs a day...

COLES PENS. theyre actually SO good, and cheap too. i dont really like kilometricos, i find theyre not very smooth.

well you need anotehr subject, so its either got to be chinese or pick up something else. if you have nothing else in mind, then go chinese, then drop it like you said.
