rank of school affects the scaling of your raw mark, if you go to a school ranked quite low (like 300s) youd have to get first in most of your subjects to avoid being grouped together with the other students the closer together marks are = higher scaling

fair enough, then you might have to come first in one or two subs try for the ones which scale high, def eng adv and rape the external exams and youll prob end up with 85 MINIMUM atar, 90+ is also a possibility
