    Australian Politics

The left do like to criticise Howard, saying his 'gravitas' and 'man of conviction' tags are all fabrications of the political imagination. I disagree. Obviously, like any politician there were instances where he chose the easy option. However, this was not embedded into his political psyche...

    Australian Politics

Before we are provided with more revenue, our government should learn to more efficiently use the money it already has. The waste and inefficiency is disgusting.

    Australian Politics

Are you seriously blaming the mismanagement of this state on the distribution of revenue from the GST? If so, I think the credibility of your comments is tarnished forever. Your bias is beyond painful. Impartiality is good once in a while.

    Australian Politics

Henderson wrote a book many years ago called 'A Howard Government?'. Essentially, about the prospective make up of the government. To suggest he is a 'laborite' is rubbish. He is one of the few objective, and fair minded commentators out there who will criticise all political persuasions.

    Australian Politics

As your age is 17, that would indicate that you were about 5 when the Howard Government was elected. You were about 11 when the GST was implemented. You later go on to say How did you in fact come to form you opinion of these years when you were barely able to write? Reading others writings...

Re: What do you think of Kevin Rudd as PM of AUST? Does the ALP pay you? If not, I'd see a Doctor about your delusions. Of course, Rudd never has and never will venture into the depths of 'jellyback populism'... ;)

Woman sues over first aid - assault

Without knowing the law or previous cases relating to such negligence, it's hard to pass an informed judgement. However, in drawing a common sense based conclusion, when an injury of that type is sustained and there is no immediate threat to the life of the individual, the practitioner...

    The Australian Flag

The flag's competency? Right. If you're going to change the flag, you don't keep the union jack.
  20. incentivation

    The Australian Flag

Agree. Too often we misplace history for the sake of 'nationalism'. Our history should be more valued. On a side note, there should be a greater emphasis on early Australian history across all levels of schooling. Instead of learning about the 'Petrov Affair' students should be exposed to the...
