    Easiest finance elective

Also do Behavioural Fins. It's easy, but also interesting. Is a group assignment though. My group went aspie, so I just took the easy part, nailed it, got special mention from the lecturer and left them with the scraps.

    Easiest finance elective

Except Investment Mgmt Modelling and (I've heard) Options & Derivatives. Investment Mgmt is fucked up.

What are the most interesting facts you have learned in Modern History?

Which characters in Orwell's novels are metaphors for which Russian revolutionaries. That there were two Russian revolutions. That the Japanese were terrible at making objective strategic moves. That Roosevelt was a war-monger but had a hard time convincing the populace to join him. That the...

Would a double major in financial economics and finance a good idea?

Re: Which major is better for employment: economics or financial economics? That's not finance. That's accounting.

Would a double major in financial economics and finance a good idea?

It's a bit of overkill and there will be overlapping subjects for the two. You'd get much the same education plus more doing economics. If your focus and interest is finance then doing postgrad work (Honors/Masters) will provide more value to you than doing extra finance undergrad courses.

Would a double major in financial economics and finance a good idea?

I said double major, not a double degree. Most unis will let BEcon students do two majors, just as long as one is economics or equivalent. Some unis won't let you do postgrad work in economics, and especially not in finance, with a financial economics undergrad major. Hence you're better off...

Would a double major in financial economics and finance a good idea?

Re: Which major is better for employment: economics or financial economics? You'll be restricted in what post-grad courses you can do with financial economics because it's not pure. If you really want economics with a finance slant, just do a double major in BEcon, economics and finance. As for...

    What are you currently Reading?

Yeah. Unless it's so over the top that it's just funny. Mein Kampf was hilarious. Some of the links he tried to make between Jews and the problems of the world were ridiculously tedious.

    What are you currently Reading?

Only read the intro and first 3 pages so far. He seem reasonably balanced. Has already stated from the outset that he is not going to brush over the bad parts (slavery, subjugation, oppression etc), but is still of the belief that classifying all of colonialism as "evil" is just as fundamentally...

    FINS1613 - Quiz 4

Yeah, accounting textbooks are easy and simple to follow. Wait until you get the advanced econometrics/stats textbooks.

    FINS1613 - Quiz 4

Same for when I did it in the beginning of 2010. Although, to be fair, I've never once been to a consultation or PASS class for any subject in the past four years.

    USYD Economics vs UNSW Economics

Yeah, don't worry, I was in the same boat and it was the right choice to make at the time, but with hindsight I wasted an extra year by doing the Comm component when I was only interested in the Econ. Of course you don't have hindsight, so I'm sure you'll be fine.

    USYD Economics vs UNSW Economics

Be careful then. If you don't choose your majors properly you will effectively waste a year. I did. Was going to triple major in Acct, Finance and Econ, but then only minored in Acct, so I have a double major in Finance and Econ, the same as if I had done just regular BEcon.

    USYD Economics vs UNSW Economics

    USyd didn't have Comm/Econ when I started.

    Commerce at USYD, UNSW, Macquarie?

Because none of them take either the course, their degree or life seriously?

    Commerce at USYD, UNSW, Macquarie?

    Haha cunt.

    Commerce at USYD, UNSW, Macquarie?

Better question is whether you should do BComm at all. What do you want to use it for? I see too many slackers go into BComm, get a marketing or management major because it's easy and then just work in sales for the rest for their life.
