    2016 UNSW Interview Offers

Dang. If your ATAR turns out a point or so higher than predicted you've defs got a shot at late round.

    2016 UNSW Interview Offers

Didn't say that at all, I'm just offering my own view as to what might look nice to wear. It is repeated, and I agree, that one of the least important things (or most unnecessarily worried about things) for UNSW med interview is what you wear. They don't use it to judge you. However, you'd be...

    2016 UNSW Interview Offers

Just a note, which you might be doing anyway. If you're doing a full suit, I would ditch the suit jacket. Just shirt and tie looks better for an interview (hell, you can even drop the tie). Less of a cocktail night vibe, more of a business vibe.

    2016 UNSW Interview Offers

The only explanation I can think of, is if they scale based upon the marks of the applicants (which I would imagine they do?), is that the distribution of predicted ATARs is much narrower than the distribution of UMATs, so that a narrow difference in predicted ATAR actually differentiates people...

    2016 UNSW Interview Offers

Yeah, you must be right on the fringe or something, I'm surprised you didn't get one. Good luck for it though, and for the JMP interview :)

    2016 UNSW Interview Offers

Damn, that's rough. Those are good marks too :/ If your ATAR ends up better than predicted you've definitely got a chance for a late round interview though, and I imagine you've got offers from other unis?

    2016 UNSW Interview Offers

Congrats to everyone who's recieved an offer! :D Hmm. One of two things has probably happened 1) If they considered you as an interstater, that means interview would be in the late round, not this one, in which case you won't have an offer yet. Sounds like you're not interstate though and when...

    JMP Interviews - 2016 Entry

I think they were confused since you said it was completely random. I assume what you meant is that it's still luck of the draw as to whether you get your preferred location or not.

    UMAT 2015 Discussion Thread

If you don't get any interview offers, there'd be no point in having the courses in your UAC preferences anyway, so I'm not sure I understand your question.

Btw, just to throw it out here guys, we're all just people on a random internet forum, so don't put too much weight on anyone's words. Make sure you speak to knowledgable people irl, and do your own research from proper sources. Read course handbooks and such.

Congrats on the result, I say you'd have a fair shot at an interview with WSU.

    UMAT 2015 Discussion Thread

Try not to pressure yourself too much to get a 99.95, just try your best and see what you get. It's very wise of you to be thinking about how to order your preferences though. What I can say on your options is: - Vet med is a good degree, but it's not altogether similar to human medicine. Do...

    UMAT 2015 Discussion Thread

From poking around on their website, it looks like yes, you can enter into their provisional program with that. Note that you'd an undergrad degree with them first and you'd need to maintain a GPA of 5 (credit average) to keep a guaranteed spot. Don't be terrified of interviews though. Staying...
