    Atar estimate please? 97+?

That seems pretty low for really good ranks o.o 97-98

    Help with PH Question

o.o How are we determining that the acid is of a monoprotic nature? How could you make a judgement that this is pure rainwater...? And rainwater has carbonic acid? I would calculate it by calculating pOH rather than take all of ^ into account tbh Also, I don't get what you mean by Like you...

    Help with PH Question

Am I missing something? Where are you getting carbonic acid from?

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive This is purely guessing, but is he right in assuming that the equilibrium will shift to the side with the least no. of gas molecules as the equilibrium seeks to increase volume, but he is wrong in assuming that the equilibrium wishes to become equimolar?

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive adfalsdjfk Can someone please point out the difference between the situation as illustrated by HeroricPanda and one where inert gas doesn't affect equilibrium? I'm not seeing the differences. Why does 'constant pressure' rather than just 'pressure' affect...

    HSC 2012-2015 Chemistry Marathon (archive)

re: HSC Chemistry Marathon Archive undisturbed. Argon gas is an inert gas therefore will not affect the equilibrium as it doesn't affect partial pressure. No changes will happen to the system.

What? It's not sex-linked because as both males and females can be affected, then it must be on the X chromosome. Then if you look at the female in generation IV, for the affected characteristic to be sex-linked, her father must also be affected since the characteristic occurs on the X...

Agreed with what blue gas said. If it doesn't appear in all generations, then it must be recessive as recessive alleles are masked by the dominant allele. Why don't you think that it's recessive?

Nerd's architecture and interior design photos

These are seriously such nice eye candy <33 Do you ever think about the composition or is it more intuition? C: Either way, they're fantastic<33

Oh I made up that question haha I was thinking along the lines of the differences between gradualism and the punctuated equilibrium model.

    HSC Biology Marathon 2015

Chemical changes in the environment can occur as a result of changes in salinity levels, pH or the introduction of a new chemical to the environment. These changes then act as a selection pressures upon an individual organism or species, eventually resulting in a change in the species's...

    HSC Biology Marathon 2015

haha thanks :)) The textbook(s) I'm using - where I get my notes and such from, don't specifically mention this, however they do state that apparently getting blood cross-matched and tested for infectious diseases and such is resource heavy. So I'm assuming the cost of production of artificial...

The main one I learnt, personally wasn't haemogloblin but perflurochemicals Artificial blood can be advantageous over real blood as there is a shortage of real blood, a need for real blood to be cross-matched as certain blood types reject blood from other blood types due to the antigen...

An oximeter is used to monitor oxygen saturation in blood in patients who are undergoing surgery, asthmatics who may have trouble breathing or pre-mature babies. The technology is quick to set up and painless to apply and involves attaching a peg-like instrument to either the patient's finger...

    HSC Biology Marathon 2015

I've always wondered what chemicals allude to in this situation lol - like is water considered a chemical? Brain dump~ As blood passes through the glomerulus in the bowman's capsule water, minerals, salts, vitamins, urea and glucose are filtered out by passive transport. Glucose is then...
