For the prac/ skills I am really inclined towards the xylem and phloem one. Also something on blood and kidney's.

    Last minute clarifications needed :(

I don't remember learning anything about the exact procedure of memory cell formation just that they are produced as the B and T cell clone themselves. I don't think that much detail is necessary for HSC biology. It's more important to know that they are there and they are important in...

Don't Helper T cell release cytokines that stimulates Killer T cell and B cell cloning

    Last minute clarifications needed :(

    a) Yes. So If you clone a sheep you would have to grow the embryo in a sheep b) Hmm.. I did biotech as an option and your explanation is so much more complex then what I learned haha. This is what our teacher gave us 1) Plasmid of vector bacteria (Agrobacterium Tumerfacienes) removed 2)...

    HSC Biology Progression

B cell make antibodies that bind to antigen to deactivate it. There are many types of T cells and cytotoxic/killer T cell actually combine with the cell displaying antigen to release chemicals that will destroy the cell. They will both function together to overcome a viral infection

I'll ask this here too. Name a method that can be used to determine how widespread a locust infestation is? (HSC bio 2005)
  11. L

    HSC Biology Progression

Lol I would've actually written that in the exam if we got a question like that.
  12. L

    HSC Biology Progression

Yeah but apparently locust are insects like grasshoppers. Don't think you could use that method on insects
  13. L

    HSC Biology Progression

In the 2005 hsc biology paper there is a really weird question on locust infestation? It asks the most appropriate method to measure how widespread a locust infestation might be? Anyone have any idea?

The second one has to be B. I don't think phagocytes have anything to do with vaccines?
  15. L

    HSC Biology Progression

Oh yeah didn't think about that actually...

    HSC Biology Progression

I'm confused. Is it asking for stuff that Darwin used to make his theory or the stuff that we can use to prove his theory with the technology available now?

    A B

    HSC Biology Progression

Isn't that cloning where genetic make up of the original organism and new organism is the same but here the new baby would have genetic make up of three different people?

    HSC Biology Progression

Wat!!? Never heard of that. Also need to clarify. Does antigen refer to the different marker molecules on the surface of a foreign particle or the foreign particle itself?

Did Ahmed shah state rank biology?
