    how was it

I didn't say change in volume for the last one- I sated that all concentration had been reduced, but one had been changed by the most.

    Polymer Question - PVC

Guys (and girls), I don't think some of you are thinking. LDE makes plastic bags for shopping. Imagine carrying water in that! HDPE is the safe option here. They can't fault you for saying HDPE, because HDPE is used in milk bottles- aka a type of bottle. EDIT: OP, question said NATURAL RAW...

    how was it

Yeah I got 1.77% also. What my friend say he did was that he interpreted Nitrogen as just N and not N2, so that's why he got 2.16%

    Killed by multiple choice?

That's not pH balancing though. pH balancing refers to adding acids and bases at the end to get your ideal pH. Also, whilst we're on the topic, how the fck does everyone remember their answers so well?

    Unsw co-op 2009

Bad luck I guess to people who didn't get Electrical and Actuarial. Those are usually the hardest to get into. Especially Actuarial. And when someone said 100 UAI Ruse kids are applying...those kids apply every year. 100UAI =/= Medicine lol. In fact, someone from my school who got 100 UAI a...

    how was it

I loved that test. The 6 markers were science questions! Honest to god, ACTUAL CHEMISTRY QUESTIONS. Glad to see the Board is at least trying to set a science exam and not a history/social science one. For the 6 marker on equilibrium, i got temperature increase in the first one, CO decreases...

Belonging - 2 supp texts okay!

    Unsw co-op 2009

Help with some questions from CSSA 2009 (Questions provided)

That's wrong right there. 1) Ionic substances don't form molecules 2) You can't change the molecular weight of something unless you add new atoms or subatomic particles to it. 3) Hygroscopic is a better way to describe NaOH's deliquescent properties- and this changes the mass that you measure...

    Band cut-offs

Re: What will be this years band 6 be for bio In this thread: a lot of woolly guesswork. Honestly, you guys should stop guessing as to what a band 6 cut-off is.

    2009 HSC Genetics Option

I wrote about Dolly too. It's valid. I wrote that the advantages are mostly economical- because if we replicate a sheep with good characteristics, such as good wool yields, farmers can get more money etc. For the 7 marker, I did what others did, where I rambled on what gene mutations, base...

    Multiple choice

This is what I thought. This was a real case of "best" answer. A mixed b and C together, so it was the best choice.

    Question 9.b.iv was bogus!

I don't think you can just say that. I differentiated and found a value that gives minimum again. But it was greater than 5, so I said since the doman of x is x must be less than or equal to 5, and x=5 cost in minimum.

Cambridge Maths Textbook would be your best bet.

Question for my fellow HSC Astrophysicists

Hi everybody. So currently I'm just working my way through the Success One Physics Book- just for some overall revision before trials. But as I'm doing this, I'm seeing a lot of very strange questions on the "specimen" questions section for Astrophysics. The style is very simple and vague-...
