Would you say that for all cases? Some can improve, others do not. I remember the first time I tried practicing before my first time at the exam and all those times I got some miserable scores but now they have increased a lot.

I believe they're all seperate, EAS (maximum 10 points) + maximum 5 bonus points either from UNSW HSC Plus and/or HSC Elite Athletes (NOT 10 in total) + ATAR. Although EAS points are hidden from us, applicants, I think getting 5 points + means that your situation must be extremely difficult...
