I just transferred into that course from straight commerce. From what i know, which isnt much to be honest, there isnt 'extra work' per se. You're just adding on an extra year to your commerce degree where you can take a break from the business faculty and pick up liberal arts courses.

If you're looking for wild nightlife, esp. clubs etc I would go to Surfers or Bali. Byron is way more low-key and relaxed. I didn't go to Byron personally, but from mates i heard that there aren't too many nightclubs. However, it is called the 'weed capital' of Australia for a reason...

didnt they change it to 48 UOC to gain a major, regardless of whether you are doing a double major or not. I may be wrong though

if you're doing commerce, then time to empty your wallet. each course is $3000 upfront, or u can put it on fee-help, but not hecs

You have a legitimate excuse, so im sure if you speak to your school, they will understand and accept your circumstance. And yes, your school report most likely will have the number of days late/absent but this wont be shown on your HSC Certificate (if thats what you meant in your question)...

Where are you staying? it helps if you're close to cavill ave. our hotel was on the street parallel and so we didnt have to trek it back every night like a few mates of mine had to. It can be a beach especially when you're hammered and everyone is pretty chilled.. i didnt see one single fight...

Surfers is the only place to be for schoolies.. though at the end of the week, my body nearly shut down on me. well worth it though
