    UOW Degree Advice !?!?!?

You'll be fine. Any math beyond the assumed knowledge, they'll teach you. You'll likely only need about 5% of Math Ext 1, and the rest of the new math will be new to everyone, even Ext 2 students. The recommended studies is more of a guideline to your mathematical ability. Most of the stuff you...

repeating year 11 and accelerating 2U and Chemistry?

Why would you be doing a few extra years at uni? Just do well in your first year and transfer across (where you might have some transferable credits), or do postgrad med. Either way, it's faster than repeating a year. Not to mention, repeating the HSC doesn't even guarantee you'll get in. What...

repeating year 11 and accelerating 2U and Chemistry?

Doesn't really matter what you want to do in uni, repeating is a terrible idea and a complete waste of time. If you're interested in higher level math, then grab a textbook and read it.

Year 12 Physics Depth Study Questions

The weight of a projectile doesn't affect its air resistance. The drag force D acting on an object with a reference area travelling with a velocity V is given by D=\frac{1}{2}\rho V^2C_DA where \rho is the density of the medium (1.225 kg/m3 for air) and C_D is a dimensionless quantity known as...

    Transfer to optometry UNSW

I've had friends who transferred from VS to Optom. It was quite a while ago, but from what I can remember, they said it wasn't too hard.

    Oh boy what to drop?!

Then just drop the one you think you'll do worst at, or drop the one you hate the most lol.

    14 Units

It only helps a bit with mechanics, so it's not worth doing a whole HSC subject just for that. Plenty of people get by fine doing the mechanics topics without having taken physics, since the concept of forces and whatnot is not that hard to learn, especially for a 4unit student.

    14 Units

Blunt and to the point. I like it.

    14 Units

Then assuming you're performing equally well in your other subjects, it would make sense to drop Physics?

    14 Units

Depends what you like and your capability in each subject. I knew a bloke who did 20 units (though he did 4u maths when he was 12). In my opinion, doing more than 12 units is a waste. Even doing 12 is unncessary IF you're confident in what your top 10 will be - I personally don't see much...

Macquarie University or University of New South Wales for Science

I also forgot to add, if you intend to do postgrad at UNSW (or wherever), then doing your undergrad there has the added benefit of knowing the lecturers/professors and building connections. E.g. When I applied to do postgrad at USYD, getting accepted was just a formality since I was going to be...

Macquarie University or University of New South Wales for Science

USYD allows you to double major in math and physics (it's what I did, along with engineering). Not sure if the other universities let you do that, or if you can only do 1 major and 1 minor like you suggested. You don't necessarily have to stick with the same university once you hit postgrad -...

    Should I repeat year 12?t

Aerospace engineer here. Normally, I'd never recommend repeating since it's just a waste of time. Back in my day, I heard of a story where one kid supposedly mucked around all year and got an UAI (ATAR) of 60, then decided that he'd repeat and actually buckle down, so he repeated and ended up...
