    Holiday revision classes

We are going to have an English class, a chemistry class and maybe a physics class as well. In my case, the English one seems helpful as she is going to help us with our creative and finalise Hamlet notes. Chemistry and Physics should be solid as well, so in my opinion if you want the revision...

Can someone help me with this Q from 2003?aQ

Notice the white colour which shows the Amount (mol) of each element in the compound. From this, I matched these values up the molecular formula as the question specifies that over the empirical formula. As Carbon and Chloride are identical and look close to 2 and Flourine looks close to 4, I...

Any study tips for Preliminary HSC?

I believe it is against the BoS rules to ask for these papers as they are copyrighted. https://thsconline.github.io/s/yr12/ is a resource run by a moderator on BoS that has plenty of past papers that you are able to use.

Why does life seem so hard?

Not everyone has a clear objective about what they want to do at this point in life. MANY people switch degrees or careers (The expected average is 11 different careers [Not just jobs] in your lifetime). Parents expectations can be overwhelming depending whether you want to achieve what they...

    HSC Half Yearlies

    Diet Advice

Yeah definitely eat some fruit whilst studying. An apple gives you more energy than coffee, and it is sustained for a longer period with that drop off at the end that can leave you feeling tired and groggy. I tend to eat grapes as they are quite easy to have whilst studying.

Inquiry about Coroneos and Pheonix Textbooks.

Pheonix is a combination of past paper questions. Our school has the 1990-1999 version, not sure if it has been updated. Coroneos is essentially a bunch of (I'm assuming) quality questions they may be worth your investment as well. Personally I do not own either, but I do use the Pheonix one...

Does anyone use Math in Focus 3U?

100% with BLIT, Cambridge has much harder questions that incorporate multiple topics. MiF is way to isolated in exercises.

    2018ers Chit-Chat Thread

Thanks for the responses guys, they were really helpful. I've essentially tried to target the more stressful parts of my study (E.g. English) so I can minimise my stress. Tomorrow I have 2 free periods as well, so I can catch up there and not worry too much :D

    Moderation

Try not to get caught up in the numbers. I know it is hard in the moment, and trust me I do it to A LOT. Essentially, you just have to do your best and get through each day or each hour as it comes. Looking at the bigger picture can dishearten students, so for me I just like to know my goal (as...

    Advice Requested

Personally, I use a physical diary that I write in to plan my day the night before. I store all my work on google drive (I use docs for basically everything) and store resources like past papers on my desktop in a folder. I use to use things like Todoist or Habitica but I see no necessity in...
