    Hours per week

Yes, B science and B science/B Education have the same amount of hours due to the reason you stated. The double degree might have less hours depending on the hours for your education courses - usually less than science courses.

    ESL people do not despair!!

Well... Obviously a band 6 scaled mark would be better than a Band 4/5 in standard... Even at the performance band level, a band 6 student in any course would have achieved most, if not all of the expected outcomes.

where does Med sci REALLY lead u to?

Definitely NOT from the Science Student Centre. lol. I found it useless asking them stuff, so one day I decided to look through the Handbook carefully and see what subjects I needed to do for my major. All it means is you follow what Table A says you have to do and you'll be fine!

    ESL people do not despair!!

Let me clarify a few things Comparing similar marks, say 85 in ESL and 85 in standard, the scaling of Standard is better. You cannot compare a Band 6 in ESL and a Band 4/5 in Standard. Bands are used to evaluate students' performance against the EXPECTED OUTCOMES of the course. Scaling is...

where does Med sci REALLY lead u to?

Yes. In medical science, your choice of major is "broad" compared to a degree such as B Sc (Biotechnology). Med science student can major in any areas of medical sciences (anatomy, poathology, physiology etc..) and from school of BABS. So here it is from the handbook: Stage 3 42 UOC from...

    forensic better get scaled

Individual component of an exam, such as the option, doesn't get scaled. The examers will, however, look at the marks being allocated to students doing each option and modify their marking criteria if any one group is being marked too harshly. I hope this helps.

where does Med sci REALLY lead u to?

Hmmm, the question you should ask yourself is what do you want out of doing a science degree? Like routemarker had said, medical science is almost the same as science is almost the same as Advanced science is almost same as science (biotechniology) is almost same as... You get the point...
