Not sure about these allegations but at my assessment centre, there was a sole UWS'er and all my other assessment centres for other Big4, I have not met a single UWS'er or heard anyone being introduced as from UWS. Everyone seemed to be from UTS/UNSW/USYD. I can't say anything about bias...

At all of the Big4 interviews/assessment centres I've been to so far, I've found that there are a roughly equal amount of UTS/USYD/UNSW people with MQ not far behind and usually one sole UWSer. As for high school, it is rare for people to be coming from all over greater Sydney + Canberra...

I researched for a laptop for ages before going with an ASUS. It has the best value for money without having to resort to a crappy brand. Toshiba and Sony seem to have a premium added just for the brand name.
