    Q 26, transformer

Okay, so by that logic, I can make a loop of wire and it has infinite volts in it, because there is no primary coil, hence the secondary coil is divided by zero = infinity. It was the first arrangement. The second won't even - or *shouldn't* transfer enough magnetic flux for induction to...

    Section I: Part A - Multiple Choice

And there is acceleration towards the ground. So as height increases, time increases at a decreasing rate.

    Band 6 cut off??

My perspective obviously. Then again I would've gotten better at physics since doing that past paper. I still stand by about 80 as a guess.

    Band 6 cut off??

Judging by doing the past papers. In 2001 it was 78. This paper was slightly easier if I can remember 2001's. Probably about 80, maybe 85.

well that was a bit evil

Yeah, phys and chem can be done in 2 hours comfortable and carefully. If anything chem is a bit longer.

    Section I: Part A - Multiple Choice

I don't remember mine but I had 4 As, 4 Bs, 4 Cs and 3 Ds. I do remember starting with c, c, b though. I'm pretty sure it was the same as you. And no I can't be bothered getting my sheet out of my bag and working through them again. :p

    Failed my Ps.

    1. It's 'kerb' in that context. 2. You can start in 2nd gear down a moderate hill. Just let it roll down with gravity as you let the clutch up. Even 3rd for some steep arse hills. 3. For stopping on hills, you can leave it in reverse or first either way. The car is no more likely to turn in...

    Saving Time

Also, I did it in the "go through the paper to make sure it's all there" time, not reading time. Also during this time, I read all 3 of my questions. :D

    Should English Be Compulsary Poll

Re: Should English be Compulsory? I know what you mean though. Better if in the junior years than senior IMO. There is a lot of fucking around (for lack of better words) in years 9 and 10 that could be used to learn more about historic events and place geography. A lot of people don't know...

    Should English Be Compulsary Poll

Re: Should English be Compulsory? lol, exaggeration much? The current course doesn't teach grammar, spelling, writing styles or jack shit really. If you can form readable sentences and write as much as possible (and have a good memory) then you will ace it. Teaches you how to deal with...

    Band 6 in Physics

Re: 回复: Re: Band 6 in Physics Yeah I've read all about that in the past. I believe it worked until a couple of years ago, when people paid and got nothing in return. Supposedly they could legally demand the raw marks but no one really cared that much. 80-85? Nice.

Why do you think Physics is so hard?

While this seems pretty harsh, I've noticed that it's more or less true. Some people in my class got less than 30/100 in the trials. Surprisingly a lot of people struggle to use simple equations, such as E=hf and substitute values in. That's year 7-8 level maths. There are some difficult parts...

    Band 6 in Physics

Good. Thanks for that I was thinking it wouldn't make sense otherwise. Someone at school was saying it went off the exam mark because the scaling report said "HSC mark of 90". I realise now it meant overall, not "HSC exam mark of 90". I see how he misread that, and apparently so did I. Don't...

    Band 6 in Physics

Hey, thanks for the offer. Just wondering: • What was your raw trial mark and do you think it was HSC exam standard/difficulty? I got 87/100 for mine, which seemed the same difficulty as the official exam papers and I'm wondering if that means I'm good enough for a band 6. • What was your final...

    Explanation of HSC Marks (Moderating)

No, it won't affect you in the slightest. However, your school will have a crappy average.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

Ah wow, completely misread that. It said maximum [achieved] mark, not maximum [possible/capped] mark. Thanks for clearing that up. :) How about scaling? Am I correct in saying all subjects are scaled using the same process, based on yearly candidature and that because of the higher ability of...

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

I didn't say you said it. I'm just pointing out that no-one else is putting sources for any of their claims, so surely *a* source is more credible than *no* source? I'm just trying to explain the system as I understand it from what I've read here and UAC scaling reports.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

As opposed to just "I heard someone say that scaling doesn't exist.", etc comments that people have said? It was an example. The data has changed, but the system hasn't.

SOFT subjects (the easy way out) . Your thoughts?

Sigh, this is why we have dumb questions, because people can't read the explanations on this site. [Edit: not saying you're dumb, just that it seems everyone has trouble finding these links] Source That is the most, per unit that you can achieve. Note that this is only for modules, AOS for...
