    I'm taking a Creative approach

Just talk to your tutor about your idea.... it is highly likely that they will be extremely supportive of you doing something outside the square. For CC1, I wrote a piece of fictocriticism that was only about 1000 words long and was very cheeky.... I also wasn't really sure what...

    Redeemer Baptist Church and school

Yeah I saw that story..... it was freaky, and how the people that managed to leave had to plan their departure in secret and then left with no money and if they left any family behind they would be able to contact them..... horrible.

    Job for Lazy Person

I also hate lazyness..... I work very hard for my money so that I can afford to go to university and live the life I live.... and then you see people just expecting to get everything handed to them on a plate. You are paid to do a job... and you should try to do that job to the best of your...

    Job for Lazy Person

Join the public service.... my mum was promoted once when she worked at the tax office and nobody ever told her what her new job actually was, so she did nothing for 6 months except show up to work and talk to people around the office.... and then she got promoted again lol.

I'm hopefully going on exchange to the UK for first semester next year, and I want to see as much of Europe as I can while I am over there. Just gotta save up!

    Are checkouts that bad?

I work as a cashier at Harvey Norman.... it's a really easy job compared to working in hospitality.... however today our POS system kept crashing, causing major delays, then this woman started yelling at me accusing me of screwing up her invoice and charging her card twice.... it was because the...

My tax return is paying (not sure if it will completely cover it) for my airfare to Europe for next year. I want to go on exchange for a semester next year, so that is why I am working a lot to save.

    2 jobs in 12hrs

I currently work 2 jobs.... 40 hours a week at work plus full time uni on top of that. And I am surviving. It will only be a short term thing for about 5 more weeks or so though. Even though you get taxed more on the second job you will get most of the tax back as a low income earner...

    New university student newspaper

You don't need a resume or experience to write for a student paper anywhere.... basically what you do is write a good article.... then ask them if they will publish it. If they like it and it meets the "genre" of their publication, then they probably will if it is reasonably written. The...

Schapelle Corby - Innocent or Gulity?

jezzmo I love how you say you don't trust the media too easily..... the media is only telling your what her lawyers told the media. If you don't believe it is true, you should be saying you don't trust lawyers.

Important - New Legislation - Read!

I don't think anyone at USyd has to worry..... btw USyd has was more than 10000 students, try 40-50000.... even UTS had 30000 students. Plus my friend who does stuff for the union just told me that only 30% of the USyd Union's revenue comes from the student fees..... on my calculations the USyd...

    subway: whats it lilke???

I've heard that the employment agreement you sign at subway strips you of many rights. I have also heard that people get screwed over at certain subway stores. But it depends on your store.

Schapelle Corby - Innocent or Gulity?

I read something from amnesty international that said that it is actually more expensive to use the death penalty in developed nations than to imprison for life because of the complicated system of appeals etc.... it costs governments more to use the death penalty. I personally don't see a...

Schapelle Corby - Innocent or Gulity?

If anyone can access the News Review from SMH the weekend before last there is a really in depth article in there about this. Reasons why people would have put the drugs in her bag: -She took a domestic flight from Brisbane to Sydney I think and then flew on to Bali.... it was connecting...

What do you think is the worst features of your university?

Lack of windows in humanities building..... the union centre being fairly skanky (thank god for the loft!).... bad temperature control in bon marche and university hall.... some of the lefties are scary. Other than that it is all good.

Schapelle Corby - Innocent or Gulity?

I don't think she is guilty. What kind of idiot would bring drugs from Australia to Bali? You could make far more money selling the drugs in Australia, plus you wouldn't be at risk of being caught at the airport. I read a feature in SMH last week about it, the mishandling of evidence is...
