    No, because on day 12 there were 55296 members, but on day 11 there were 27648 and so on. So for each day they earn 0.5 c for each member, so you are earning more than 0.5c for a member that joined on the first day, so you have to take the sum of the members from day 1-12 and you get $553 :)

    No i don't think that is right. You never get your scaled marks anyway, only your aligned marks, and you do not have to sit english for you raw marks to be aligned, so i'd be pretty sure that 72 is what you got sorry :(

    I got that as well, but then i realised after the exam that the increase for each time the intensity doubles is not linear. so it doesn't increase by a fixed percentage, rather a fixed amount of decibels, so the answer is 10ln2 not 2.5% increase

    Square roots are only positive or negative if stated, or when you evaluate them from taking the square root of a square. if there is a number, e.g. sqrt 100, it is only equal to 10, NOT -10
