    whats the difference?

They are most likely completely optional, go to whichever one suits you or even both if you want. Personally I'd go to the advisory day - there would be a wider range of people on staff to answer your questions during the day.

If no online timetable exists telling you exactly when and where your examination will take place then they probably will contact you directly about where to go.

    Help with Anils Ghost

Well thats kind of 1/3 of the whole course so I can't really congest it all into one post for you:p However, when doing a close reading of Anil's Ghost an important aspect to consider is how it is told from a non-western perspective with an entirely different set of values. This cultural...

Australia and New Zealand 'should become one'

When contrasting the idea of harmonising the laws and currency of the two countries to that of a merger, I can't really see a huge benefit for NZ in this. The lion's share of the benefits already exist in the harmonising package, all the merger would grant is the awarding of authority to a...

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

Newborns can survive without the mother - any person can feed a newborn, even a machine. With a foetus, only the mother can support the baby due to undeveloped or non-existent organs.

rejected for scholarship = rejected for course?

No, it just means that you didn't get into the scholarship - your UAI does not, for all intents and purposes, exist yet so you cannot be excluded on the basis of that.

would "Children of Men" be an ideal related text to physical journey?

Films are fine to use within this module and for any assignment unless they specify a text type. Also, Children of Men would certainly represent a physical journey in such a way that it could do well in an assessment.

All you want to know about the Educational Access Scheme (EAS).

Basically UAC makes an assessment of the authenticity, eligibility and severity of your application and each university decides what they make of it. For example USYD can decide they will approve your flexible entry scheme and UWS can decide they won't, the outcome of one not affecting the other.

    Virginia Andrews...

I never really took to Virginia Andrews, mainly because of the heavy emphasis of incest in many of her books. 'My Sweet Audrina' was an ok read though.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Yup. Lucky there is still reproduction going on then since not everyone is homosexual. 1. Presumption. 2. Ad hominem. You still haven't addressed the real point - christianity is meant to be the ultimate form of pacifism - you can't 'throw stones' at someone for who they are. You just forgive...

    Homosexuality in Australia

There still is reproduction though. As displayed in the animal example there is a fair bit of reproduction occuring - its just not every individual that is reproducing. 1. Ad hominem. Me being gay does not have anything to do with whether I understand a religious saying or not. 2. The concept...

    Homosexuality in Australia

How is this an argument for gay women transmitting sexual disease? If anything you are helping argue against that premise... Primarily it seems biological existence is to continue to survive - sometimes the individual need not pass on their own genetic material in order to aid survival and...

    Homosexuality in Australia

All diseases you can gain from sex between partners of the same gender also exist for sex between partners of different genders. I'd also wager sex between two women is safer than between a man and a woman given there is no penetration. Just because our bodies are capable of reproducing does...

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

Blood cells and bone cells are only different physiologically, not genetically. Same cannot be said of cancer cells and all other cells produced through miotic division. 2. that it possesses genetic properties differing from a generic cell of the mothers. Your addendum was unnecessary as that...

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

Please cease the baseless insults, they add nothing. As does all of the ad hominem. Cancer cells are also not wholly identical - they arise from a DNA mutation that disrupts cell division and causes undifferentiated cells to form at an accelerated rate. The key term being mutation. Which makes...

    The Abortion Debate (continued)

Growth is not a valid reason for life - a cancer grows and uses up the resources of the person it inhabits. Cancers are genetically different as well, as the arise from a form of mutation. Despite all this however there is no argument to award cancers the right to life in a person's body. A...
